What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone to support a specific science project at Cool Farm, contributing to our efforts in making farming part of the solution to climate change. The exact project will depend on the interns skills and interests, but will contribute to the development of our new GHG calculator the Cool Farm Platform. This platform assists farmers in transitioning to sustainable practices and models on farm GHG footprints. Tasks will involve developing the equations and methods to model GHG emissions, coding, user interface design, and user testing.

Key attributes we’re looking for:
- Open to undergraduate students or recent graduates (graduated in the last 12 months) from all scientific disciplines, including ecology, modelling, mathematics, and computer science.
- A strong interest in sustainability and environmental science.
- Ideally based in Kent for in-person mentoring and collaboration, but virtual participation is available.
- Must be based in and eligible to work in the UK. Eligibility checks will be undertaken.

- Two people will read the applications and the first page of the application will be hidden from those selecting candidates for interview.
- Interviews will happen in April, with the position filled by May 3rd at the latest.
- Interviews will be virtual and approximately 1 hour long. We will send the main questions before the interview so candidates can prepare.
