Poznań, Poland – 28th May 2025
Agraves Sp. z o.o., a leading Polish advisory and technology company for agriculture, announces two key strategic moves: joining the Cool Farm Alliance (CFA) and integrating its farm management platform Elvio with the Cool Farm Tool. This decision highlights Agraves’ commitment to supporting Polish farmers in the transition towards sustainable and low-emission agriculture.
Cool Farm is a global non-profit membership organisation that brings together over 160 entities from the agri-food sector, including the world’s largest companies, non-governmental organisations, scientific institutions, and farmer groups. Cool Farm owns and manages the Cool Farm Tool (CFT). CFT is a scientifically grounded greenhouse gas (GHG) calculator at the farm level, used by tens of thousands of users in over 160 countries to measure and report the impact of agricultural activities on the environment, including GHG emissions, water consumption, biodiversity, and food loss. The tool is based on peer-reviewed research, a wide range of published data, and IPCC methodologies, ensuring the accuracy of calculations.
Agraves joined the Cool Farm Alliance in 2024, thereby joining a global community working towards sustainable agriculture.
The integration of the Elvio platform with the Cool Farm Tool was achieved through an API. As a result, Elvio users – Polish farmers and advisors – gain direct access to the advanced calculation functions of the Cool Farm Tool within their familiar platform. This connection enables precise calculation of farm environmental indicators, in particular the carbon footprint and other sustainability indicators, based on data already collected in Elvio. These results can then be used for analysis, planning emission reduction and carbon sequestration activities, as well as for reporting, e.g., for supply chain needs or new agricultural support programmes.
Mikołaj Baum, CEO of Agraves, comments: “Joining the Cool Farm Alliance and integrating Elvio with the Cool Farm Tool is a groundbreaking step for Polish agriculture. Our goal is to provide farmers with the most modern digital tools that truly support them in their daily work and the transition towards sustainable production. We are proud that as a Polish advisory team, with our over 20 years of experience in advising Polish farms, we can contribute to global efforts to decarbonise agriculture, using world-class tools like the Cool Farm Tool. We believe that this integration will make it easier for Polish farmers to switch to regenerative practices and allow them to better document and leverage their environmental achievements.”
Elvio is software created for the comprehensive management of modern farms. The platform facilitates data collection from various sources and offers integration with external systems, including now the Cool Farm Tool. Agraves, with over 20 years of experience, is a recognised leader in advising the agricultural sector in Poland, supporting farmers in business, financial, legal, and sustainable production and digitalisation areas.
As Roman Zapała, Head of R&D at Agraves, adds: “Thanks to this integration, Elvio becomes an even more powerful tool, allowing farmers not only to manage their farms effectively but also to precisely measure their environmental impact and identify potential areas for reducing GHG emissions and increasing carbon sequestration. This is crucial in the context of environmental requirements throughout the food supply chain.”
The connection of Elvio with the Cool Farm Tool is an important element in the digitalisation of Polish agriculture and enables Polish farms to participate in global processes of measuring and reducing environmental impact. Thanks to access to scientifically grounded CFT methodologies within the Polish platform, Agraves supports farmers in making informed decisions regarding agronomic practices and farm management to improve environmental performance.
