What is Certified Advisor Training?

Open To All - Available in English, Spanish, Italian and German.
With this course, we want to create a global network of experts who know the Cool Farm Tool inside-out and speak the same language when using it. We equip you with the tools and insights needed to help farmers thrive in their journey towards reducing GHG emissions, conserving water, and protecting biodiversity through their farming activities

Cool Farm Certified Advisors 

Learning Outcomes:

Introduction

  • Understanding the role of the Cool Farm Alliance
  • Know the scope of the tool

Crops

  • Know how to make a crop assessment incl. water & FLW
  • Understand how to gather & organise needed data
  • Know which data points can have big effect on emissions

Crop Science

  • Discuss the key gases
  • Recognise where GHG emissions are generated within crop production
  • Be able to identify mitigation opportunities

Perennials & Science

  • Understand the structure and use of the Cool Farm Platform
  • Understand how perennials crop systems are modelled in comparison to annual crops

Biodiversity

  • Understand how to assess biodiversity with the Cool Farm Tool
  • Understand the potential to use the metric to show improvements and build biodiversity action plans

Livestock

  • Know how to make a livestock assessment & include your own feed assessment
  • Understand steps required to gather & organise needed data
  • Know which data points can have big effect on emissions

Livestock Science

  • Discuss the key gases
  • Recognise where GHG emissions are generated within livestock production/li>
  • Be able to identify mitigation opportunities

Supply Chain Implementation

  • Understand the potential of using data & stories to drive change on farm / in supply chains
  • Know how to run reports and get more from the tool
  • Know what to consider for implementation and engagement strategies

Cool Farm Tool & Regenerative Agriculture

  • Know how the Tool can support the move to a regenerative food system
  • Be able to track regenerative practices in the tool
  • Discuss and learn from others
