Calling All UK Farmers: Help Shape the Future of Farming and the Environment

Join the Land use to Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Accounting Project

Cool Farm Alliance, in partnership with the University of Gloucestershire, is leading a research project focused on helping to give UK farmers the tools to assess and reduce their carbon footprint. By participating, you will be contributing to shaping the future of farming and the environment while learning more about the tools available to understand your farm’s GHG footprint.

Why this opportunity matters

We are looking to recruit 28 farmers from diverse systems across the UK. By joining the project, you’ll receive:

  • Receive £200/farm/year + VAT for your time and participation over two years.
  • Support for personalised GHG footprint measurement using our new and improved Cool Farm Platform (CFP).
  • Benchmark your farm and identify areas where you can improve your results.
  • Engage with experts and fellow farmers in workshops and regional events, sharing insights and learning from each other.
  • Inform policy and practices.

Your participation will involve:

  • Completing two carbon footprints (2023 & 2025).
  • Taking part in a short survey and interview.
  • Attending two online workshops.
  • Hosting a farm visit (for selected participants).

If this sounds like an opportunity you would like to be part of, we would love to have you on board! You can click the button below

The deadline is Friday, 31st January, but it’s flexible as we’ll adjust based on the number of responses. If you have any questions or would like to chat more about the project, feel free to reach out to Eleanor at eleanor@coolfarmtool.org. We are here to help!
